VMware is seeking a highly motivated Staff MTS for System Test organization in Palo Alto with strong technical background, experience in test methodologies and automation frameworks. The Staff Engineer will implement best in class test strategies and test automation, and ensure the continued delivery of highly reliable, scalable and high value solutions. In this role, the engineer will work closely with other team members to innovate and come up with 'best practices' for System Test organization. You will also participate in design reviews and help ship high quality VMware products. Strong Java and OOD experience required.

 

EMEA Manager, Network & Security Systems Engineering Job

The opportunity has arisen for an EMEA Manager of Network Virtualization & Security Systems Engineers. The successful candidate will work with the Leader of the World Wide Systems Engineering team for the Network Virtualization and Security Business Unit to ensure the day to day functioning, management, motivation, recruitment, scheduling and training of the EMEA based NSBU Systems Engineering team. The role will be based in EMEA. The successful candidate must be able to manage technical assets with consideration for customer success as well as financial effectiveness. The NSBU Systems Engineering Manager must be able to hire, motivate, develop, mentor and retain quality Systems Engineers who are capable of developing and delivering VMware's Network and Security initiatives. In addition to managerial responsibilities the candidate will also be required to assume individual contributor responsibilities as the technical lead on key customer opportunities around VMware’s Network Virtualization and Security solutions.

Collaborating with domain experts, you will work with others in VMware technology areas - providing requirements for better support of SRM. You will participate in all phases of product development including development of specifications, implementation, test automation for features developed. In addition, you will mentor and contribute to the technological growth of junior members of the team.Applicants should exhibit experience in building distributed applications, APIs and fault-tolerant solutions. Members of the team focus on highly scalable solutions capable of managing thousands of systems. Experience in the use of virtualization as a key technology to design and implement applications that solve real-world problems is a plus.
